Skylar is constantly in an ongoing collaboration with actor/playwright Paul Gary to write the next great American Musical...or something like that. If you have to boil it down, Grieco writes the music and Gary writes the book and lyrics. But largely the two feel that they collaborate through all of those things. For every brilliant idea, there have been ten terrible ideas. But that one brilliant idea is all it takes.
Grieco and Gary's first success was their original musical University 101: A Collegiate Musical. The musical follows two undergraduate freshmen navigating their first semester of college. The show's world premiere was produced by The Lambda Gamma Cast of Alpha Psi Omega in the Deborah K. Anderson Studio Theatre at Middle Tennessee State University in April 2016. Skylar is also an independent playwright creating a wide variety of work.
